Your Beach Buddy Guide  ·  Dune Allen, Western 30A

Dune Allen RBA

The westernmost Regional Beach Access on all of 30A — a quiet stretch that tends to feel uncrowded, with a coastal dune lake right beside it. Here’s how to use it.

The First — and Often Quietest — RBA on 30A

Dune Allen RBA sits at the far western end of 30A, with 185 ft of confirmed public Gulf frontage on two county-owned parcels. Because it’s the first access most people reach coming from the west, and it’s not one of the “big name” stops, it tends to feel less crowded than accesses further east.

  • Bike rack and a pull-up bar
  • ADA boardwalk ramp — all ramp, no stairs, easy for strollers, wagons, beach carts, and wheelchairs
  • Beach chair and umbrella rentals available
What’s Actually There

A Coastal Dune Lake, Right Next Door

A coastal dune lake is visible on the east side of the access — a nice bonus if you’re into the rare-ecosystem side of 30A. The beach itself is genuinely gorgeous and, per the honest local read, tends to feel uncrowded compared to accesses further east.

Worth knowing: private beachfront flanks both sides of the public corridor here — keep to the area in front of the boardwalk.

“The westernmost stop on 30A — and often one of the quietest, even in peak season.”

If You Want Options

Fort Panic Is Right Next Door

Fort Panic RBA 43 sits just east of here with its own 363 ft of Gulf frontage and a similarly uncrowded feel. Further east, Gulfview Heights RBA and Blue Mountain RBA are stairs-only options if you don’t mind a climb.

  • Private beachfront flanks both sides. Keep to the area in front of the boardwalk.
